Identity armor

Identity armour uses the visual identity and expressive shapes of cosplay to empower the wearer. They are jewellery pieces made of silver to evoke the same embellishment as jewelry and the strength of armour.

There are many reasons to feel vulnerable. Personally, I experience this feeling when I have to walk alone outside at night. Using cosplay armor's mechanism and visual identity, I created a body jewellery collection to empower the wearer by extending their identity.

Cosplay is often used for characters in games or movies—characters that have to fight in combat and wear armor that wouldn't actually be functional in real life, but wow, do they look powerful. The function of their armor lies in their visual presence.

Jewellery is very personal. It can hold an emotional connection, and the wearer might not even feel like themselves without it. These pieces thus become a type of armour to protect the wearer by giving them a sense of safety. The user feels confidence by wearing big, sharp, and expressive shapes. It can make them feel as if they are wearing a huge weapon, knowing they look cool and intimidating.
